How to build a deck

1. Before you will start you must bring all necessary tools and materials together.
2. Prepare the place where you will build a deck. Mark out on the wall where you will make a deck. You should know that 12feet must be parallel to your house. And your back door must be in this area. Put two blocks straight against the house. Place 8 inches from each end of the 12foot span which is marked on your wall. Put a 12 foot 2x8 on the peak of the pier blocks, put into the channel in the centre of the blocks. You must check the level and repeat the process.
3. After that you must set up joists. While you will do this process you must be very careful. You should make some marks for you to know where you will put the boards.
4. Afterwards you must put in deck boards. You should start over the outer rim joist. You must leave a small gap, between each deck board. The last deck board should be next to the house. Leave a small gap between the house and the board.
